Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born on August 22 1995, in London United Kingdom. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a several years of hard work. She put out a self-titled album in 2017. It climbed to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released, among them Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 within the United States. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandparents Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. There is also a trace of Lipa's family tree back in Peja from Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. The siblings of Lipa are Rina and Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for The Kosovan band Oda. At home her father continued playing music which included his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of was 5 years old. At the age of nine years old, she began to sing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not gone You by Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa was approached for an recording deal by Warner Bros. Records in 2014. New Love was her debut single.
