Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. The mother of her child is English while her father is Nigerian. She attended The Brit School when she was 14. She studied acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While attending the academy, she performed in several stage productions such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. The following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 with The thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen for her as Ashley Davenport. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the two previous seasons, would be leaving the show after a guest-appearance in the premiere episode of the season's new episode. Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty as well as four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She was a dancer. At 2 and a 1/2 and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance from that moment. After graduating from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical and hip hop. She was crowned the top soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
